Legend says that the tree, known locally as the “Senzakura” (immortal cherry tree), is over 1,000 years old. At 13.8 m tall with a trunk circumference of 6.3 m, it is the largest Edohigan cherry tree in Hyogo Prefecture, earning it designation as a natural national treasure. A parking lot is available at the trailhead, but on Saturdays and Sundays during cherry blossom season, parking will be limited.
