Kasagata-jinja Shrine is believed to have been built 1300 years ago in the era of Emperor Kotoku. Showing characteristics from the late Edo Era based on sculptures at Nikko Tosho-gu Shrine, the decorative sculptures of Kasagata-jinja Shrine’s main hall, middle building, and worship hall create a magnificent scene.
A designated cultural property of Ichikawa, the shrine is especially beautiful in autumn as the turning leaves envelop the main shrine.
